dude ive noticed you used gov't instead of government, in an exam would they mark you down for shortening the word/s?

It's fine, as long as u say Government first, then in brackets (gov't) and use it thereafter (which I prolly didn't do in the essays above sorry)

ive probably already said this but thanks heaps minai. the extra benefit for me...i go to the same school and for like the last 15 years old slyburger has kept the exact same questions! all i have to do now is edit a bit to achieve those couple of extra marks for a 100%er

no worries,
just remember, the greatest benefit you can gain here is to look at the structure of the essay and how everything links together, not necessarily the content. It will give u guys some idea at a Band 6 style structure
