UAI is rank from 00.00 to 100.00, so yes it is possible, though those under 30 won't be given their UAI other than a less than 30.

i thought the school cert. cohort from 2 years back who dropped out gets stacked at the bottom? so you can't get a 00.00?

Just don't go to school for Year 12 / be away for assessments or don't do assignments; in other words leave your paper blank for both internal and external exams I guess...

^ Eh, some people actually did that. The Daily Telegraph/ SMH (don't remember which) published some schools name which students just drew stuff on the whole HSC booklet and made it out as a joke :lol: They were mostly international students though xD

i thought lowest UAI was 30.
and if your ranking was lower than that you get this pink letter thing.

The main difference between the old TR system and now the UAI is that even the * don't go low as 0. They would only go down to about 20 or something. Under the TR system, they theoretically could but under the UAI the 0-20 range goes to the Year 10 school leavers.

This is what the other states had and when you compared NSW HSC with other states, our "ranking" was always lower. The UAI is now on par with the way the other states rank their students.

simple answer isnt it
just drop out .. so you get nothing :)
nothing = 0?
or do you mean by attempting and getting zero?

If you dropped out you wouldn't get a HSC, meaning no UAI.

To get 0 you must have done the worst scaling subject, go to a ridiculously low ranked school, get close to 0 on your exams yet still show signs of an attempt
