ok so im not aboriginal but i do think alot of australians are very very discriminatory towards aboriginees.
sure there are some advantages they get which i think are just unfair....eg free uni!
i dont see why they should be allowed to have free university while we all have to pay.
but they are humans too & they should be treated with the same respect & dignity the rest of us are.

serious post: there won't be an aboriginal prime minister anytime soon because there isn't an aboriginal outstanding enough to be prime minister that i know of. hopefully one day an aboriginal will step up and be that good. not now.

aboriginals just dont care about government. they dont wake up in the morning thinking "im going to run for office next year. i guess it is partly because they dont know enough about our system of governing to know about all the positions and ways to get to prime minister

and even those that are aware and educated at a tertiary level probably dont want to become prime minister and why would they? i dont, and i would think that a large majority of the average joe wouldnt want to become PM. they would rather pursue areas in which they have an interest, the same could be said for aboriginals

so its never going to happen

I dont this I have. all people do have ambition and a thirst for greatness as you said, but if you asked people whether or not they would want to be PM, and they thought about it and gave you an honest answer after some real thought, most would turn away.

its a full time job, you are constantly meeting with and talking to people about the country and the economy and you are always being watched. do people honestly want to cope with all this just to be "great"?
