i've been like this since i was little

someone offer me something ...even if i want it, i say no

E.g.
my mom's friend offer me a box of candy but i was too shy to accept it

my friend asked if i wanted a shirt of hers but i was like "no no no, i'm fine but thanks anyway"

etc.

is anyone like this?
is it bad ?

I tend to say no automatically unless i really want something to be polite.

But you seem to say it no matter what... perhaps practise just saying yes automatically for a while?

Yeah dude, youre just polite and dont want to put them out. Age will give you better discretion to know when hospitality etc is genuine and should be accepted and when it is not genuine and offered with reluctance etc. I'll often offer people certain things that I dont really want to offer and if they accept ill be privately annoyed and know that theyre probably social retards and/or totally selfish

I'm going to be branded a racist for this along with my other posts, but are you by any chance of Asian descent? Because that is a very Asian thing to do but nothing wrong with it per se. If it is offered to you, why not express gratitude and take it with thanks and reward the giver with genuine joy?

My 2 cents

thats really bad, you should be comfortable enough with your mother and your friends to say what you really think

I met a girl on the street and offered to have sex with her.
She said no but I could see that she wanted to say yes, she was only being polite.
So I ripped off her clothes and fucked her.

She must've been really shy 'cause she kept saying no.

Yeah I do this. Mostly because I feel awful at the idea of taking someone else's things. It's not "right" (usually).

yes, i do it too.
i feel it might be due to fear of criticism, or timidness.

Haha, heaps of people do it. I would hardly call it 'bad'. You're just trying to be polite! But sometimes accepting something is the polite thing to do. So I guess it's really all just about context.

But calm down. It really doesn't matter :haha:
