It's a shit show. Run by students. There's 3 main ones each year at unsw. Med, Law, CSE (Computer Science Engineering).

I meant skit show... Or did I???

Dear students,

You may be aware that there will be a National Day of Action
at Australian universities on Wednesday 16 September.

This email is to assure you that UNSW will be operating as normal
on that date and we are hopeful that most classes will go ahead.
Your lecturer will advise you if he or she is unable to teach that day.

If you have a query about any of your classes scheduled for
Wednesday 16th September, I encourage you to contact your lecturer
or course/program coordinator.

Kind regards

Professor Joan Cooper
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students) and Registrar

Hey guys, I'm thinking of applying for Yellow Shirts..
Looking to meet great people and make new friends.

Can anyone shed some experience on this?

Cheers
I've sent in my written application. Just seeing the fun Yellowshirts had while I was a newbie at this year's O-week is enough for me to be excited about it.

I was at uni today, hadn't been on a Friday for a few weeks. I had forgotten what a huge difference it is. So much quieter and duller.

Then when you hop on a bus, you hear all the kids talk about their planned weekend while I'm depressed and emo doing assignments on the break.

3 hour bios lab was made all the more painful by a bunch of lame-o girls who decided to sing:
- taylor swift: lovestory and you belong with me
- abba: mamma mia
- chris brown: forever

You should throw dangerous chemicals on them? Isn't that what labs are for? Playing with dangerous chemicals?

lol, I was once so bored in a lab that I filled up three test tubes with water so that they were tuned to three different notes, and then played the chorus from Love Story on them (because it only uses three notes) by tapping them with a pencil...

People thought I was a bit strange.

Hate the song though. (And Taylor Swift tbh.)

huffing hydrocarbons is pretty awful

i had to walk out last semester because of the combined hexane and diethylether fumes. the lecturer, richard payne, was all like "you alright matey?"

this is at usyd, btw, of course
our chem department is >> unsw department
