The likelihood of many people failing is enormous, what will you do if you do fail? {This question does not apply to people with 90UAI+}

Anyone looking at a profession as a garbo?

* = my Judgement Day
Not getting into my degree = <85 = on the street
Not getting what my parents expect = <99 = @#$%&* by parents

But seriously, I will only fail HSC if I reflect on this year as full of nothing but studying.

Garbage cleaners do more for society than actuaries do.
Garbage cleaners keep our garbage level low, our streets clean and make Australia a liveable country.
Actuaries make rich people richer.

Sure, people love clean streets, but they take it as a given each and every day and don't appreciate the cleaners behind the scenes. In short - no one wants to be the garbo.

Huh..?

You gotta be pretty dumb to get 30 seriously...You must have scored like 50 for each sub if not 60 or somethin :s (depends on the sub)

someone explain the whole roads engineer thing to me

if i fail the hsc (<90) i'll do arts/science @ unsw, learn some fun things with psych then transfer to comm/science. ( i want to do organizational psych)

if i EPIC fail the hsc (<80) then i'll do science by itself

if i get <70 then i'll do the above at macquarie or uws lol.

+ write a scammy e-book and rip people off over the interwebz.

I don't think I'm gonna fail per se, but I (and everyone around me) honestly expected that I would do alot better than I'm doing atm. I'm screwed for my ext maths exam tomorrow... but oh well. If I get above 80 ATAR, and just manage to get into uni, then I'll be happy as Larry. It's not the end of the world if I don't get in, I wouldn't mind going to tafe if I really had to.
Your occupation doesn't solely dictate how well you do in life (but it sure helps hahah).
But hey, no sweat, what happens happens and we just got to make the most of it.

Same, Commerce/Science(Psych) at UNSW - 92 ATAR. Yew. Except I put it as my 4th preference under a few pure psych ones like 97 at Syd, 96 at UNSW and some others I forgot...but not sure if I want to do those instead...

The BPsych gives you the same education as a psychology major in BSc and BA, or so i've heard. the ATAR is only higher because everyone sees "psychology" and gets all excited. Commerce combined gives me Extra knowledge.... But correct me if i'm wrong so that i can change my prefs if Bpsych is better...

omg sirpoopalot isnt our future job awesome...money AND satisfaction its like a dream.

Hell if I can get over 80 I'll be happy. Not to mention I should get at least 2-3 HSC Plus points (no more after fucking up maths and almost certainly fucking up chem in a few days).

BSc at UNSW is 78.00, BMarSc at Macquarie is like 76.30 and BSc in Marine Biology at UTS is 74.70. So I've got the three courses I want in the mid-high 70's, so given that they may increase a bit due to demand then an 80 should put me in a reasonably safe place. I have no idea how much the cut-off can fluctuate though.
