Who uses their ipod while studying? (1 Viewer)

I was just wondering who listens to their ipod while studying and if it is really as bad for you as teachers say it is.

Listened to music/iPod all the time during study; wouldn't be useful without it. You sorta tune out from the music really - I used it to drown out the traffic outside, the screams of home and school. I could have been listening to static and I would have done just about the same.

I can't focus with music when studying. I listen to music when I do Maths homework.

I listen to my iPod sometimes when studying/doing assignments but only instrumental/orchestral pieces. Lyrics just distract me.

when doing maths hwk i actually put my ipod on my portable loudspeaker and BOOM goes korean and chinese music =D

sometimes I prefer classical music for other subjects since it's much harder to study other subjects with loud and lyrical music

My iPod consists of mainly instrumentals and very mellow songs, and then a huge variety of the current trends in a different playlist.

I will usually listen to jazz without or very lyrics to it as the lyrics can distract me, and then i end up singing instead haha.
its nice to have the hum in the background.

I used to listen to my ipod whilst doing my math homework and then I stopped after my dad was like "Don't listen to your ipod! You can't concentrate!" Now I'm so used to doing my homework in silence, I can't go back.

Music is not really useful for anything humanities based. For Maths I normally listened to Post-Rock. Bands like Red Sparowes, Russian Circles, Do Make Say Think etc.

I also really like Marshmallow by IU, so much so that I've listened to it like 300+ times, lol.

Will check them out at some point when I get a chance.
