So who's getting one?

I'd like to upgrade from my gen 1 ds, and i'm interested in some of the new release titles coming up for the 3ds, like the new paper mario, mario kart, zelda, and maybe others depending on what i see (defs pokemon white, but it's not 3ds specific).

yeah resident evil might be worthwhile, and same with MGS. i'll have to see gameplay vids though.

also, build in sd card and 2gb sd card that comes with the ds.
also, i wonder when... firmware hacks... custom content... hmmm >:]

There will probably be a lot of custom hacks that will come out as a result.

Is the predicted price for it still hanging around the $AU300 mark?

And yeah I'm hoping for some sort of R4/acecard replacement, I'm only interested in purchasing pokemon and maybe new Mario cart.

I would have been more excited about Zelda on a new console or Wii. The DS screens are bad for my eyes.

This is seriously all my boyfriend has been talking about for the past few weeks. :/

That said, they do look pretty awesome. Kid Icarus would be interesting....and I read that they are releasing Mario Kart in 3D. =D

The 3DS is backwards compatible so ROMs might work. It has a pretty decent processor from what I've heard.

And don't worry. Zelda: Skyward Sword's going to get released this year on the Wii.

I have an r4 for my old fat ds and Roms are fine, actually games save much quicker lol. Only problem is a can't bump my ds or the micro sd card gets nudged by 1 atoms width and the game freezes :[
should've got a spring loaded cartridge.

I am pretty pumped for Skyward Sword. Totally ditching partner for game.

Oh that seems okay then. I've got the Roms on my laptop and I've found that the DS pokemon and zelda games are really slow but the colour/advanced games are pretty ace.

I was really looking forward to trying out diamond, black and white. Do any of you guys have these issues?

I have Diamond; it's pretty good.

Dayum, Black/White was released in Japan a couple of months back and so far reviews have been top-notch. I've had a look at the screenshots and it looks awesome.

Pumped for Skyward Sword as well; haven't played Wii for a while now.

new pokemon games have been awesome.

in heartgold and platinum im training up teams for the battle tower.
and i got an english patched version of pkmn white on my laptop, that's good so far.
