English standard 2/70 (came 2nd for trials) gap isnt too big with 1st place

Economics 2/17 (came 2nd for trials) (dude beat me by 5% FML in 30% trials) so our gap isn't too big

Ancient 3/34 (came 2nd for trials)

Business 4/34 (came 2nd for trials)

maths 26/36 (gg)

school rank 204-205 lols

I reakon 90-92. Obviously maths is pulling you down big time.
I gurantee i will get my rank to about 12/36 for externals but which ranks would I need to establish an atar of 96? roughly =DD ty anyway

It's not about rankings anymore it's about your performance in the HSC. I think you would have to get ~90 for each of your subjects. What raw mark that is, I have no idea.

ty =D... im just wondering.. does the BOS tell your externals ranks also in the end?? or its unknown.
You're not immediately told your external rank however, you can apply to get them for a small fee.

hmm, ohh if its $30 then im probably going to do it =DD..?? can anyone tell me what the process is :) ?? sorry once again..

btw my cohort performed bad for maths overall. average was 30-40% .. so about 10-15 people are pretty close to my internal mark.. I think low band 5 is still possible

30-40% in general maths won't get you a band 5. :/
2unit* lol...

and yes sorry im bad at maths but im defs improving.. doing 1 past paper a day now till hsc and doing so much maths now so probs end up with band 5 or 4.

Btw i heard that we should be helping each other out now for externals?? or something so like sharing resources and stuff for the HSC... can anyone confirm this??

Let's say you got these results (HSC Marks):
English Standard 2/70 - 82 (It's not very common to get Band 5/6 in Standard)
Economics 2/17 - 90
Ancient 3/34 - 86
Business 4/34 - 89
maths 26/36 - 75

Fairly random but that's my estimates of roughly what you would get.
Will get about 88.55, you could have got higher if Maths wasn't so low compared to your other subjects.

Yep, the better everyone does, the better everyone does.
Strong tautology, but lets say no one in your year gets below 70 raw for anything, the lowest ranking person might have been scoring in the 50's but his "HSC mark" will be bumped up because the lowest external score was in the 70's. The marks are moderated depending on your internal ranks. I think that's how it goes, i may very well be wrong, though.
