nice. and wat she said about med i completely agree with. med guarantees job security but its not worth going through all that work for a decade if u arent cut out 4 it.

i got 65 percentile..
and i got less than 50 for section2, 48 off memory.. I heard some unis dont even consider you if you fail a section.
What are my chances of getting an interview for medicine or optometry at this rate, assuming my predicted ATAR is around 95..
I am not a rural student. Thank you.

haha true that in away ... she does 3unit though, but I don't know her marks, bcs I don't do 3 unit.
I guess I just find it hard to accept that some one who scores incredible marks like her bombed out at the UMAT!

If she gets 100 in phys and chem hsc then maybe she can go to USyd with 99.95 ATAR.

I got 69 percentile, 48 in section 2 and predicted ATAR of 97 and I have no chance.

Regret not doing UMAT, I'm not particularly interested in doing med but it would've been interesting.

i regret not doing it as well. wuld hav been gud to get a indication of my actual ability.

Hehe to be honest i don't think i'm psychologically cut out for med, i did some practice questions my friend had and i was doing pretty well, but i just don't reckon i'd be able to handle the constant death around me. Besides i'm more interested in physics/sciences so i don't really mind.

I'm not trying to be! Not everyone is cut out to be a doctor, and I'm sure there are industries/career paths that you can excel and succeed in that are more suited to your strengths.

srry i was trollin. the real reason is the job security. thats wat my parents always told me during years 7-10 about med. they r both doctors and they no they will always be in demand

I lol at the people in my grade who go for med because they think they're life is going to be like scrubs or house.
