I'm thinking of buying a crap load of these sort of skirts for summer:

All the tops that I have I bought with the intention of wearing with jeans/short shorts so I don't know if it'd work with a skirt :/
try look for a high waisted tight denim skirt :) they look awesome with a nice top.

to me, cotton has a sense of icky ness to it. idk why

Hey, can you girls suggest me some nice places to shop for skirts and tops?

I've only bought my stuff from just jeans and cotton on. Looking for a new look. Suggestions?

Hmm

I don't think i've ever shopped from any of the above other than SES :p
Temt would suit your style.
Jayjays used to be all awesome, bot it's all flowery and no longer that great.
Still good ^.
Morning Glory has the cutest things.
Myer is okay. I don't particularly shop for brands. I just buy whatever looks good, goes with my style.
Try the couture stores. They have super cute things.

I don't really have a budget per se
As long as the price is reasonable for the quality of the item in question, I don't mind paying.
Ohh, glue? I heard that's where TB asians shop or something. Will check it out.

Dotti and forever new is great for dresses, never really checked out anything other than that in those shops. Next time I go shopping, i'll pop by :p

I really like frills, floral, and neutral colours :p

When I buy a skirt/dress, I feel kinda self conscious because some things are so short these days :/

You'll like the new JayJays then. :p
I know, haha. If it's too short and looks great on me, I wear stockings under or get used to it. XD
I don't really wear shorts but I bought this one pair that I instantly fell in love with.
It's high waisted ish, black with 3 rows brass sailor type buttons in the front - zipper at the back.

I get embarrassed around family when I wear something short because I think they're gonna judge me or something.
I was wearing high waisted shorts the other day, and we were at a beach, and my mum was checking me out and telling my dad about my legs
and I felt bad :(
