With those ranks, definitely not. You will need to be at least in the top 7 of each of your subjects.

At the moment your sitting at the low-mid 90s.

It's hard to say. It really could be anything as far as I can see.

Anything? :S What about above 95% I guess, because I'm coming first, its upto how I perform in the externals ?

I thought we already established that Parramatta's rank was 462 :l

sorry. 462 it is then.. The rank is just so depressing! It's a good school, has a lot of potential, but some students inevatibly drag the rank down :|. Hopefully it will change by this year..

Well if you keep the good ranks up I'm sure you'd do well, though as OzKo said it's unpredictable.

Considering you're topping most of your subjects, we can discern that you're good, but because you go to a school which scores relatively poorly, then it's hard to say how good you are.

That leads to the question of why is it unpredictable and why I corrected the rank. We cannot be sure if your cohort is actually much better than the previous ones, their results not being too flashy. We also are not sure whether what is seen as the highest rank in your school could equate to ranked 10 in a 100's school or not, though I would say judging by your posts that you probably are smarter then them, but the way people post can be misleading. Also, I know Parramatta High is partially selective though to what extent. Does the "partial" part of your school act like my school where we offer a G&T program for junior years and top classes for senior years, or does it actually match up with, let's say Ryde Secondary.

Too many variables to make an educated guess.

That wouldn't make a difference given that the selectivity of the school only began in 2010, for which the cohort will graduate in 2015.

Maybe they had tests to get Sanjoy's cohort to make them go to a selective class.

OP:
Low 90s, even at a school rank 60ish, you'd still need to be AT LEAST one of the top 10 students overall approximately. I mean I assume only the top handful of people get over 98 each year.

SanjoyM:
hard to say cause of your school rank, you'll get in the low 90s at least I reckon. If you want to get a 99+, you'd want to be rank 1 in all you subjects and ideally, slaying your year by a decent percentage. And then score really well externally.

I'd think to get 99+ ATAR in your school you would be rank one in everything though, my estimate would be base 90, though take it as a pinch of salt.

For the OP, low 90's. In order to get 98+ you would need to improve quite a bit (at an average sized school ranked 60, about 5 or 6 people get over 98)
For sanjoyM, as OzKo said, depends on the final exams for you, but if I had to guess I would say low-mid 90's.

More or less about 10% of the grade, imo.

Its a bit less then 10. A relative of mine goes to a school ranked around the 60's and they only had 4/150ish get 98+. Although they had 45 or so get over 90.

I suppose it varies quite a bit then. Case by case.

We had more than 10 people in my grade get 98+ (with a rank of 63 in '09).
