Hi,

I'm curious as to whether i should be completing the compulsory commerce cores in 1st semester and then the flexible cores in the 2nd semester? Or would a mix be better?

You can't do all of them in one semester. Do them when they're convenient to you.

I know a friend who did like half flexi first sem and half core first sem. Think his plan was

Sem 1 - ACCT1501, ECON1101, FINS1613, MARK1012
Sem 2 - ACCT1511, ECON1102, ECON1203, MGMT1001

There's no suggestion - you just do them when they're convenient to you. For instance, I did Commerce/Adv Maths before - and in Year 1 Semester 1, I did two Commerce core courses and two maths courses.

In semester 2, I did one core, and one elective core.

So... yeah.

Yeap just do when it's convenient for you. I didn't do MGMT1001 until 1st sem of my 2nd year :D

Yes, that's probably the best thing about UNSW's enrolment. All online.

yeap but I would recommend drafting one now so that the moment you accept, you can enrol straight into the classes instead of deciding which class to enrol in at like midnight.

Does UNSW open up more classes because marketing seems full in terms of good time sessions?

and could someone explain to me why when i use that rectangle website to construct a timetable it gives me 5 days? I've tried changing the options but for some reason it keeps giving me 5 days. But when i construct my draft timetable manually i can fit it in 2-4 days (not that i want a 2 day uni because that's abit intense)

And imo i really think you should just learn how to generate your own timetable. That way you could probably get 3-4 days instead of whats given up on rectangles.

Nope unless all the classes are full and there is a need for them to open up more spots

You can do two core and two flexible but not those that have a prerequisite like ECON1102 (Macroeconomics) or ACCT1511 (Accounting 1B). Yes, you can do the other core next semester.

May I ask what you recommend? Or what you did? Like, all 4 cores or half and half? :s
