The main reason is that I really don't want to be second-guessing my choice of major(s) several years down the line, so I thought I'd at least get a first year knowledge of physics/biology/chemistry/maths before I decide. There's a couple of other good reasons as to why I chose those subjects, but it'll take a bit more time to explain.

You generally have 10 minutes get from one class to the next.

Merewether to Blackburn would probably take about 6-7 minutes.
