For methods for preventing disease - I did pesticides such DDT for mosquitos and screening techniques such as Breast Screening
- probably should have done vaccinations though :s
- Anyways are those two right?

Awesome test. Hopefully 85+ raw. Only question I didn't know was the red light thing in communication.

For the disease question I said that our concern in disease management etc has shifted from treatment and use of pesticide towards prevention and control then gave example of public health programs and malaria control programs.
Is that right?

Ok, who else finished with 1hr to spare?
Just like to point this out. From the chem thread, but still applies to bio. It is most definitely true

If you didn't use ALL the time, you probably won't do well.

And the people that finished after 1 hour will almost certainly do poorly.

it gets to point where uve checked ur answers a few times, then u start questioning their correctness. so I usually check thru paper like 2 times then afterwards I started drawing penises on the question booklet.

Same here. But I used vaccines and quarantine as the examples.

Did anyone else write below the given lines (i just wrote really small for one line for some answers and used the extra pages for the final 8 marker)?

Disease prevention as long as you write some legit bs it should be fine. And justify it. And know your shit. It's a straight forward question. Exam was pretty friendly except for the 8 marker. I had no clue what to write, just rambled on about cloning, IVF, transgenetics and how they are related to our understanding of chromosome structure.... yeah I had no clue. Might lose 2-3 marks there, maybe more, hoping for 92 raw perhaps. Lost 1 in MS, 5 max in normal part and 2 in option topic, probably. Yeah. So a 92 minimum. Hopefully. Maybe higher if the markers are kinder.

I agree that question was a bit left field, but apart from that, I think the test was quite fair overall.

In the red light q I think I will get 5/6

You needed to talk about cones, wavelength of light, bipolar/ganglion cells, the photopsin and retinal reaction and the fovea etc.

I did all this, but it wasn't exactly sequential.

Markers won't be kind in Bio. One of the strictest marking criteria of any subject.

Was time another controlled variable for that effect of temp on enzyme experiment?
I said substrate concentration
Don't think time is right since aren't we measuring the time taken for the enzyme to function? But I may be wrong IDK

For that question, because it was related to reproductive technologies affecting evolution, was that in regards to the dot point with artificial insem/pollination and cloning, coz thats what I discussed.
