^^Lol at the car with turds on the roof (the yellow one). That stuff is terrible considering that it damages the paint.

But its nice that you have meats with them lol. Did you meet them on a GTIR forum?

'bout the same... looking reasonably well on face value; whole bunch of gremlins upon further inspection... :haha:
Lol. Did any of them have a different turbo fitting to yours?

Would be interesting if some were chop shopped.

Not often can you get that power out of an old modified AWD.

Its a little bit less powerful than a Liberty GT, but is much noisier

So I'm guessing that guy has the noisiest (what about powerful?) one of the lot?

...

It's a fair bit at the wheels but so many old awd cars can reach that haha.
Certainly not mine anymore :p

But then again my one's stock would have been around 140kW.

What other old 90's AWD cars that can reach that on all four (Other than the Subaru's)?

Tbh almost every single turbo awd can reach that, some easily (tune, exhaust etc.) and others require a bit more money (new turbo). The gearbox on both the average Subie and a GTiR will be pretty stressed at that kind of power, some of the cars below that won't be the case.

Some mostly 90s cars off the top of my head:
- Bluebird SSS, similar drive train to the GTiR
- Every Evo
- GTR (R34 would have almost made that stock when new)
- Stagea
- Legnum
- Mitsubishi GTO
- Celica GT4
- Sierra Cosworth
- Escort Cosworth
- Porsche 911 Turbo (AWD since the 964)
- Audi A4 B5 (+ probably a whole lot of other Audis)
- HSV Coupe4 (pretty close stock)

Oh wow. I'm obviously unaware on the older vehicles as that is quite a huge list.

The 90s was pretty good for over engineered jap sports cars.

Wasn't it basically the time when JDM boomed and revolutionised to produce more turbo engines and high performance electric systems?

I have a mate with an integra clocked over 350000 kms on it.

Selling it for around $2000 I think.

On that note of high clocked vehicles, I once drove an audi with over 500000 kms on it and I had to thrash the accelerator just to get it moving lol.

Yes, and no... There was a Bluebird with the ATTESA drive train... However, It was only a specific model that was available in Japan... Rules and Regs for compliance in Australia don't allow you to import them for road use (unless, it's imported under the personal import scheme... whole different ball game and many hoops to go though for little reward)... Essentially, it is the same box on the FWD models (different final drive gear); no transfer case on the FWD models as well... With that said, I certainly would not be putting a U13 box on my GTIR (it's not that it wont fit, it's just that it's different)... Unless of course, it's the box from the U13 ATTESA...

It's quite a shame, GTIR gearboxes are becoming really, really expensive...

I only get 9.5ish only a city/freeway and the best I've done is a 7.8 driving down to Melbourne :(
That's pretty good if its tuned by STI (I'm guessing its a 3.0R?)

I mean, 9.5 is what you would get out of quite a few other modern vehicles that are 6-cylinder and possibly even some 4-cylinder vehicles.

But my boxer engine is 10 years older lol and is just a normal 2.5L variant so it just drinks away :(

Though it does have quite the power ;)
