I've started planning my timetable for next semester and the subjects i have chosen so far are:

- MMAN1300
- MATS1101
- MATH1241

i have tried every combination (except phys1231) to fit around MMAN and the other subjects and nothing else will fit without clashing.

so really what can i do?
- just do 3 subjects and one in the summer (really don't want to do this as I have other plans)
- skip a lot of lecturers (don't want to be doing this either)

Rectangles hasn't been too helpful

timetable thus far:

Assuming Sticking with Comp Sci
Bridging then COMP1927 [clash on Tuesday 2-3 acceptable]
Bridging then COMP2041 [No clash with web option, request to get into a lab, this course is taught by Andrew Taylor too]
MATH1081 [if you haven't done it, move MATS1101 tutorial to another time, 1hr clash]

Others:
MMAN3000 [might be too early for you to do]

You will need a lab coat for MATS1101.

I would like to stick with computer science because it seems very interesting and I like it. However, I was in 1917 and I did find that difficult in terms of workload and content so I moved to 1911 with was much more manageable. I do think that I may be able to get a credit in the course but there are a lot of other better students that are far better and it would be unlikely that I am offered to bridge.

Aside; people have hinted that I immediately change from computer science (lecturer, tutor) because if I don't understand the stuff now it will be much much harder in later years. The equivalent would be someone in year 10 5.1 maths wanting to do mx2 for the hsc.

Is math1081 worth it? People were saying it was hard and only did it because they had to for their degree? And it wasn't that interesting in terms of content.

As D94 said in another thread, MINE1010 and SOLA1070 are good options but I keep getting clashes that won't be approved.

MMAN3000 is the one before you do your thesis? I looked at the handbook and there are really no presequates for it so I might enroll into that and do a first year elective later and see what the student office has to say

Just realised MATS1101 isn't core. When you drop that, you can take
MMAN2100 (no clash)
move 1241 to another stream (by request) and take MTRN3500 (no clash)

You will have to try ALL the possible combinations
In the end you will be forced to take some crap course
Sorry but those guys who arrange these things have IQ in the sub 60 region.
They don't even allow clash

Lol why are people giving suggestions for level 3 courses.

Honestly, you should try to work your way through slotting in some level 2 courses and getting them waived if necessary.

If there are a few prerequisites, you might be able to call the office and get away with a co-requisite.

but if i replace semester 2 (2015) subjects with semester 2 (2014) subjects wouldn't i just have this same problem next year?
