Tbh that was one of the easier questions.

I don't know about every one is but I LOVED that 8 marker. Perfect to talk about Mendel, Sutton/Boveri, Morgan and their ideas on inheritance
Yeah that 8 marker was beautiful, I filled up like 3 pages on Darwin, Mendel and Sutton :D

Thank fuck
I was having doubts as well when I was answering that 5 marker, but it is right I spoke with my bio teacher after. He said that the ovum acts as the sperm carrying the other 23 chromosomes required to fertilise and since all the DNA belongs to the orignal female, then it must be a clone

yea fair enough but for 3 the graph shows molecules moving from high to low which suggests diffusion, if the concentration gradient was low to high then that would be active transport and 20 I just had an educated guess

What do you mean the genetics was literally the easiest they could make it. No cloning, selective breeding, barely anything on gene expression, nothing on HOX genes and the like. It was a pleasant paper :)

Sooooo clone or not a clone for the eggs?
I said it resulted in an identical phenotype, but the genotype though carrying the identical components is not identical due to the function of crossing over and gamete formation in the homologous chromosomes resulting in a different pair of homologous chromosomes

But I was just trying to fill up space no idea if correct or not XD

The diffusion question was number 2... I don't remember what question 3 was

Na I agree, I don't think it was a clone. The sex cells split to form four eggs, and you never know which eggs you're going to get especially after crossing over, random segregation etc. so yeah I don't think it was a clone.
