What are other schools doing as their Preliminary AOS for Term 1 (English)? Assuming this is actually in fact a thing and not something my school made up.

Wow, wish we did that. There are probably so many resources (past papers etc.) out there for that and it appears to be a better simulation for the HSC.

I find it funny how teachers are trying to teach us how to answer HSC essay questions in test conditions - everyone's gonna take the whole HSC year to rote learn and adapt them anyway.

Not all rooms.

Most rooms in my school's quad only have fans

I still remember in year 7 on a 40+ degree day the teacher refusing to turn on the fan because it was "too noisy".
(The worse thing was we were on the top floor, and the irony was we were learning about deserts!)
