I mean don't be discouraged, bc I saw ppl make it into baulko, yet they got a reserve for girraween. U made it into girra, so who knows, u might get a reserve :)

Yeah true Girraween gets a lot more applications. But I might not go to baulko even if I made it, because they are quite ahead on maths topics, and other topics in general

Which one are you gonna pick? They're both great schools :)
I picked Girraween because it's less than 5km away while Penrith is 30 km away. But Penrith has better stage 5 electives so I kinda feel disheartened 😂

If you’re on top of the 5.3 maths syllabus, you should be fine at BHHS. I’ve occasionally helped a nephew who goes there - I honestly don’t see that their progress through stage 5.3 is much, if at all, ahead of the top class at our local school.

Yeah I only know because I've seen their exams on thsc. So I'm not sure. But I'll think about it. Thanks 😊

definitely go to a better school if u make it in - the more competitive the cohort the more inclined you are to study and do better in the hsc :)

also just like Eagle Mum mentioned u shouldn't be put off by baulko's progress as long as ur on top of the 5.3 syllabus you'll catch up eventually

Yeah but from what I've seen in their tests in thsc, they've already done functions, for example, which is one of the final year 10 topics in most schools. So if I had to go through the entire year without knowing it, then I wouldnt be able to choose maths ex1 for year 11

u should join ngo and sons accelerated math class, they go quite fast and there’s a lot of kids from baulko, girra and other too selective schools in there

They didn't let me in there because I come from a bad school lol. I called them yesterday about it. But they did let me have the specialist test Thursday next week. Do you know what they might ask?

Yeah I told them, but they said I would have to wait till next year. But that's kinda rude, like people come to get better, they don't have to be judged by their school

yeah that’s true, like there’s ppl who come from fully comprehensive schools and still get 99.95 atars and beat kids from top selective schools. honestly i dislike how if ur in good selective schools ur considered extremely “superior” to those in comprehensives. although its partially true, it’s not always the case.
