In the essay, should we call Victor Frankenstein "Victor" (informal maybe) or "Frankenstein" (confusing with title of book)?

Should we indicate the end of a line when quoting poetry? Such as "and he sees the vision splendid of the sunlit plains extended / and at night the wonderous glory of the everlasting stars" or just leave it as one big sentance. Also, when naming the guy who wrote that, is it OK to say 'Banjo'...
