I got this UAC letter in the mail today, as I'm sure you all did, and one of the Q+A's is:
"Does the school I attend matter?
No. The school attended does not feature in the UAI calculation. The UAI calculation is based only on marks provided by the Board; no other information is used."
So how...
Hmm. So lets say I do this Cert IV in Communication/Media- average on 70 etc & get in.. can I then defer for a whole year, or only until the beginning of 2010?
Oh okay heaps good, so that's all that's required hey?
I'm currently having nightmares that I'd find out at the last minute that I need extra stuff :-P
I didn't apply for Notre Dame this year, I plan on doing the Certificate IV in Communcation/Media next year and gaining entry that way. Is anyone else doing it this way?
Also, I want to work in media/journalism, and am torn between Bachelor of Arts (Politics & Journalism) and Bachelor of Arts...
Sorry if these are really dumb questions haha.
1. What's the lowest UAI you can get? I didn't apply to uni or anything & I'm bombing out in all my tests so far so it'll be pretty bad (low ranking school too)- but yeah just curious to know what I can expect.
2. Does the school get sent a list...
I started writing a list the other day of people that I've met, but I can't remember all of them. Most of them are people that aren't famous anymore haha.
Nikki Webster
Gretel Killeen
Sara Marie (BB)
Bec Cartwright
Beau Brady
Rhys Wakefield x 3
Indiana Evans x 2
The Saddle Club girls...
I haven't posted here for ages, ah.
& yeah, I knew their marks wouldn't bring ours up or anything, I'm just glad that we won't be bringing them down or anything.
Haha yeah I really don't expect it to be, and it doesn't matter too much cause I'm not applying for uni. There's 2 girls in my grade that are really smart and get like 90% in everything, so I hope they get decent UAI's and the school doesn't bring them down too much.
