I agree with cem, a lot, if not all of your focus areas overlap with the Conflict in the Pacific and Conflict in Europe topics. Even if you're not soon either topic, your school should technically not be allowed to let you do any of those events because no one could stop you from doing a...
If you just joined up the points then you won't have the correct shape either so I'd say they'd take off 1-2 marks max. It should be a curve that plateaus off at the end.
I always made my own notes for the humanities e.g modern history, I find that everyone has a different way of making notes e.g some of my friends prefer short, succinct summary notes while I like to include every little single detail because I tend to forget them after assessments.
Sure, you...
Great advice here but just a clarification of a couple of things:
- Blatant bias does reduce the reliability of the source, but it may still be useful in providing knowledge regarding a particular perspective
- Dinomyte's said a really important thing about primary sources - don't...
Ugh most of the people at my school have finished their exams while I have history extension left... I was stoked to have so much time to study for it but HSCeebs is really kicking in right now -_-
- 44 roughly goes to about a 46 in Extension History from my memory, though I'd estimate a 45 just to be on the safe side
- Mod: 92 is around a 94-95
- Bio: 84 is probably a 93ish
Not sure about your other subjects but all the info you need is here: http://bit.ly/rawmarks
You're probably looking at an exam mark of about 94-95 depending on the aligning this year, but your HSC mark will depend on your assessment mark as well. That will depend on your cohort's performance (unless you're coming first)
Ext History for me was probably my favourite subject after Modern History and IMO it was the course that I learnt the most from. Like others have said, it's a very philosophical subject and really opens your mind to a wide variety of perspectives not just in history, but in life in general...
Definitely. Not sure why people have been saying that Germany was "easy"- if you wanna see an easy question, check out 2013 where there was a collapse of the Weimar Republic question. The nationalism question was absolute crap since the time period was from 1918 to 1939. Judging by what a lot of...
Idk I was talking to a couple of friends who said that the barrage was bad for the author of the source because it failed against the enemy, but it didn't say that the barrage was actually harming his own troops? It did state in the source that the shrapnel was "an ugly thing" or some crap like...
- multiple choice was absolute shit, didn't read the sources properly and chose barrage instead of shrapnel for one of them :( rest of wwi was ok though
- Germany was disgusting, of all things they had to test nationalism -_- had to do the other question and BS'ed my way through it about how...
The impact of ideology was tested in 2007, "assess the impact of nazism on German foreign policy in the period 1933-1939", and foreign policy was tested 2 years ago so I doubt that the questions will focus on it (though I wish it would).
I'm banking on a question either on totalitarianism...
