Yes, they definitely accept AAA. I know many people doing Commerce/Law at UNSW who have ATARS alot lower than the 99.65 cut-off. In case you guys are wondering, I'm talking about 2012 first years, not transfers.

One thing I never understood about OP's "group" is why they actually waste their time trying to DENY the rights of the gays. Why the fuck would I waste time hating on someone when I can simply choose not to give a fuck? It just doesn't make sense.

If you've done the work (which I'm assuming you would have ;)) then you have nothing to worry about. Just take it one step at a time as most people have said, create a study plan for each day until the end of trials and just slowly chip away at your goals =)
