You got 85 for English right? I know people who received under 80 and are doing Advanced English. Just because people here did great doesn't mean you can't too. Most of these people are selective or top graded for a Top 100 school.

I seriously recommend you change to Advanced English. I dont know anybody who gets a decent mark in standard and I think you are smart enough to do well in advanced if you study hard. I read somewhere that less than 1% of english standard students get Band 6 while 11% get band 6 in Advanced English, and judging by your marks, I think you'll do fine!

Just drop to standard if your find it too hard, but don't regret this decision.
