I felt you of all persons would best benefit from it. My apologies I did not give you a more modern edition - but the contents are similar. You are at the right level of knowledge to find it useful. e.g. you'll find many questions on volumes in it with good diagrams(? of course not as good as modern editions). You will also learn a lot more about the definition and properties of limits - way beyond HSC syllabus. I trust you will benefit greatly from it even though it is an old version. My 1st Uni Maths text was an even earlier edition of G B Thomas.

Mostly once a week. I sometimes have one family having me twice a week - and I felt bad they have to fork out so much. I also urged their 2 boys to work harder, do their own reading up more, instead of relying entirely on me - so as not to waste so much of their parents' money. (I don't mind the money if they are the Packers). Once a month is too far apart. But then again there may be students who are already quite good, but want the occassional guidance and coaching.
