Hello! If you were doing well in Arabic back home, you should have no problem with Arabic Continuers. I think an 80 would not make a great contribution to your ATAR, so your goal should be to achieve at least a band 6 (90+) if you want it to make a good contribution to your ATAR. I believe this would be a realistic goal given your background.

I would even recommend considering Arabic Extension when you get to year 12, because if you do well in both you can significantly boost your ATAR.

yh tbh im literally aiming for a 92+ bc even now i open the hsc for both ext n continuers n its easy!!!
but im worried if i should drop it or not bc i love math n *maybe* do ext 2 math (if i pass ext 1) n then i can drop both arabic n another subject
any thoughts?

Why not do both (assuming you do well enough in maths)? If it's virtually guaranteed that you will do well in Arabic, it's hard to justify dropping a subject that you're doing well in, especially since you will likely not spend much time studying for it. If you want to maximise your ATAR, you should keep the subjects that you can do well in.
