Assessment Task
This PIP is meant to expand one’s understanding and ability to determine how truly free the mind is in a society which feeds on propaganda built by members of the community and careful governmental provisions. The purpose of this is to examine the reality is which we are presented and guaranteed as the “truth,” it is to question what it means to live in a world and how much, we all as a community attempt to forget, forgive, comprehend certain situations, as well as feeling threatened by all forms of media designated to make the individual feel an intentional emotion.

The Propaganda PIP ( response aimed to analyze the use of propaganda in media, but it ultimately missed the mark.

Firstly, the research was superficial. While it touched on key examples, it failed to delve deeply into the psychological effects of propaganda on audiences or the techniques used to manipulate perceptions. A more thorough exploration of case studies would have added significant value.

Additionally, the presentation lacked cohesion. The flow between sections was disjointed, making it difficult to follow the main argument. Visual aids, while present, were not effectively integrated, which detracted from the overall impact of the response.

Furthermore, the analysis of counterarguments was minimal. Addressing opposing views could have strengthened the overall argument and showcased critical thinking skills.

Overall, while the project had potential, it needed more depth and clarity to truly engage with the topic of propaganda effectively.

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate the honesty. Firstly, the research I used clearly stated the techniques used by media to radicalise individuals; echochambers (Chapter 2), fearmongering (Chapter 3), emotional manipulation (Chaper 1/2/3), conspiracy theories (Chaper 3), glorification of radicalised individuals (Chaper 2), etc. these all dived into the psychological effect. Secondly, the presentation lacked cohesion because I intented Chapters 1 to 3 to be their own individual theme and this PIP was made to research a topic, not to argue a point. The visual aids were for my markers. Lastly, my teachers advised me not to address opposing views as it this project was to once again, explore a topic, not argue it. I'm sorry if you felt as though I was not specific or deep enough, it could have been because of the word count restraint. I understand why you do not like this PIP, but giving it one star feels harsh, thank you nonetheless! Have a great day.
