Hi! I understand the struggle of finding a strong approach for an essay on this novella. I’ve experienced several emotional rollercoasters because of it myself. After scoring 17/20 in trials, I completely rewrote my essay. Several people have mentioned that it now deserves an 18-19 out of 20.
Please let me know if you have any constructive criticisms. I’m aware of a lack of voice and some awkward phrasing. I didn’t elaborate on certain points because I didn’t find it necessary for the question I was answering. There’s also no context; I wasn’t sure how to include it without it feeling jarring. Everything else should be fine, though. I hope this is helpful!
