Year 11 is a time for experimenting so when it comes to the hsc you will know what subjects will get you that 90+ atar

I don't know how difficult Fort Street's entrance exam is but I've heard that if you rape the exam (i.e. manage to get top 5 out of all the applicants) then you should have a good chance on getting accepted. :)

Start off your essay with a conceptual idea. If you're stuck, link the idea to nature e.g. "It is a universal truth that ambition burns like fire" or just pm me :)

If the teacher cant even reason with you then he/she is shit and you should definately take it to the deputy to make the teacher think twice on his/her professionalism. This is your hsc ffs. Good luck :)

Think about it, if you move schools at the end of year 11 you're going to making new friends (and very competitive friends), your leadership chances are down the drain and you might go through, what isn't supposed to be, a very very stressful hsc year. You can still achieve the same hsc result...

Do you know what the preliminary topics are for english ext?

Thats true, I've heard a lot of people describing romanticism as a 'dry subject'. But learning how people thought in those times can't be that dry...

For those who are doing/going to do English Extension, what module and elective are you doing? I've looked at syllabus and I'm absolutely blown away on how interesting it sounds. Especially the topics in 'texts and ways of thinking' like after the bomb and romanticism :)
