The hell? Not a single outlier in the history of your school? You're about to make history dude

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive ^ oh damn, what happens that levitates the magnet again?

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive What's quantum pinning o-o The superconductor is able to exclude the external magnetic field, and when this external magnetic field is placed near the superconductor, eddy currents will be induced in the superconductor and flow in a way to oppose the external...

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive But if the conductor experiences 'relative movement to the magnetic field', it's still possible theres no change in magnetic flux if the conductor is still fully immersed inside the magnetic field isnt it like this:

I think you might lose 1 or 2 marks, did you talk about sodium 24 the whole way through and just accidentally wrote sodium 23 instead?

lol then you would have to talk about how smoke detectors are used in the production of smoke detectors

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive lol that sounds like some theory of relativity stuff, think you should explicitly say "when a conductor experiences a change in magnetic flux" instead of that relative movement thing since you referred to "magnetic field opposing the initial change in flux"...

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive that was sick it reads like a textbook

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive wtf is this question the answers showed 1 line of working for 4 marks, there was a 9.8 that came out of nowhere:
  10. M

    Humour in answers?

Are you a hsc marker? give me a couple extra marks thanks

^ The guy i quoted said he said americium was used for domestic smoke detectors, if i recall correctly the question said the word industry twice too. isn't 'domestic use' not an industry and if i recall correctly i think it asked for the name of the industry (dont quote me on that)?

I don't think I did well in the HSC so far...what would my ATAR be?

m8 bumping the thread does nothing it was already the second thread from the top, and your external and internal ranks seem too different so its really hard to tell, like being in the top 20% of your school in bio but getting 40% in the external

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive wow was this actually an 8 marker? I think theres only enough info for 5 or 6 marks

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive Those impacts are legit as fuck, but how are transformers involved with transistors/ microchips cause its not in there?

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive Use delta(x) = Ux*t in order to find t in terms of U I don't get what this formula is?

wait, didnt the question ask how is the radioisotope used in an INDUSTRY thats not the medical industry?
