I'm fine with my option... I just hate monitoring and that water crap.

    Photographic film Material??? PROPERTIES??? HELP

    1. Photographic film • Radioactivity was and still is detected through the darkening of photographic film. • Usually used in monitoring the levels of radiation exposure of workers in industries or research labs • The darkening is caused by silver crystals forming as radiation is absorbed by the...

    Raw marks required for Bands

What raw mark would suffice to achieve an hsc mark of 95?

Do most schools have people who leave 40-30 minutes early?

To me, I don't think an HSC mark of 78-80 is particularly good, especially for general maths to suffice for a 93 ATAR.. that is unless you've got other subjects to pull you up or Gmaths isn't counted in your ATAR that's fine. In the ATAR calculator I just used, an HSC mark of 80 last year has an...

For all the visual arts students who finish on the LAST day :(

I'm already imagining myself running and screaming out of the exam room and all around school after the chem test on Tuesday.

Do most schools have people who leave 40-30 minutes early?

Not majority... 95 isn't that difficult to achieve I don't think. My principle keeps giving me an ATAR estimate of mid 90's (not sure I can achieve it with my performance in HSC though), which if true... I'm definitely not one who lacks 'social skills'. Tbh, I have a mix of both a social life...

    Ethanol Questions HELP!!!

    There's 0.785g/mL of ethanol 1000mL = 1L Thus, 0.785 x 1000 = 785g/L We need to combust 100L of ethanol Thus, 785x100g/100L = 78500g/100L So basically.. 0.785x1000x100g

    Chemistry Marathon (HSC)

So if I figured out an answer and got 2842.49g (wrote this down) and then the next line i wrote 2800g (2sig figs), and there are no marks allocated to sig figs, I wont lose any marks? What happens if there are no marks allocated to sig figs, but using the data in the question it was supposed to...

    Ethanol Questions HELP!!!

    a. Yes it will combust because it's vapourised in air and thus we can light it and it will release heat (err not so sure about this one, but yeah i know it will combust) b. C2H5OH(aq) + 3O2(g) --> 2CO2(g) + 3H2O(l) c. 100L of ethanol = 0.785x1000x100 g = 78500g of ethanol mol of ethanol =...

    Chemistry Marathon (HSC)

I'm pretty confused about sigfigs. Like, I know how to see how many sig figs is in each number, and I've read somewhere on here that we use the number of sigfigs which is the smallest in the question. However, when I was doing my successone stuff, I'm continually getting them wrong. ie (just...

    Chemistry Marathon (HSC)

Ahh okay (: in one of my internals i did curve of best fit and i lost a mark though. I saw in successone that there was a graph with line of best fit, and it only had like 2 points on the line and 3-4 pretty off lolol. but it was for AAS though, should we be using a line of best fit for AAS curves?
  13. R

    Chemistry Marathon (HSC)

Do we always have to do a line of best fit? and will we lose marks if we just connect all the points? :( And do we have to write the state symbols if we're doing structural formulas?

    WTF? Books??

I have one for business studies.. its pretty useless Imo I barely even used it. I never did the online part, I did some of the book thing they gave us and the questions were really stupid. I'm not sure about for physics though, but maybe it was because we have a total new Syllabus for business...

Do most schools have people who leave 40-30 minutes early?

Yeah I get what you mean.. but I don't think they would exactly be receiving top marks for spending only 1.5 hours in a 3 hour exam unless they're absolutely brilliant at the subject (which is unlikely for a subject apart from maths) and trust me, I know these students personally and they're not...

What happens when you write in pencil?

Yeah my supervisor said if you do it in pencil and the machine spits it out, a marker will manually mark it for you.

What's the difference between Biopol, PHA and PHB?

Lol dw, in all reality they're almost all produced in the same way. And I don't think the markers will really care as the products are very similar. I just found this in my notes "biopol is a PHA consisting of phb and phv" - so yeah they're basically all linked. My school teacher called it PHA...

what is the difference between amphoteric and amphiprotic

Yes you're supposed to know about amphoteric oxides, they might ask for the trends in oxides when going across the periodic table (ie q18 in the 2004 hsc paper)
