    I think it is illegal for them to do such a thing. As tonynho said, you can only be recommended to drop, then you have to fill out some form of some sort highlighting the reason and the approval of you, your parents, teacher and KLA coordinator.

    Yeh but if his guaranteed a position within a company of some sort, then that is setting him up for the upcoming years, whereas going to usyd chances are you might not get that opportunity. But considering the op is a bright person, that may not be an issue.

    Think about what medium you travel through will give you the best result afterward. I'd say the wollongong one, but that's just my opinion.

    High school

    It is quite significant as you learn electricity in general, motors and generators etc. Most physics principles and forms of calculus evident within the HSC physics syllabus will be seen again in electrical engineering at University.
