    Camps

it's csesoc, they're all socially awkward, CSE at unsw is the perfect computer nerd stereotype

Going to be short of 91 atar?

You get the same experience at UNSW - in any B.Eng you do, it's a requirement for graduation to do at least 60 days. At UNSW we just don't shove it into the degree making it annoyingly longer, we do it in our own time in summer or winter breaks.

how do you sell math course notes ?

Plus you aren't going to get much for them anyway, they only cost $40 full price...

    WAMs: HD=90, D=80, CR=70, P=55

Um, did you even read what you quoted?

    Failing PHYS1121

System won't even let you enrol, it's all automated.

    Physics and Finance?

As above, you want a Maths major, not Physics, as interesting and fun as a Phys major is, Maths is far more useful to you for your situation.

Hahaha apparently the power went out today in the marquees, fuck this is gay

    UNSW Exams in a Marquee??

Almost everything at the racecourse is permanent, they put up some new marquees this year though that they didn't have last year, so I assume those are temporary. Got an exam for one of my courses in one of the new ones, so they're probably for smaller cohorts only since the course only has...

Student from abroad interested in UNSW

I would disagree with the pricing above for homes, but the postgrad salary may be around right. To confirm stuff though: Use these websites for housing: http://www.domain.com.au/ Use Google Maps to find locations near uni and stuff. Hopefully a current PhD student can comment on salary, but I...

Student from abroad interested in UNSW

Accom depends on where you want to live, and your budget. Would you like to live on campus in a college environment, where food is provided/social activities happen all the time etc, and get more of a home feel? Or would you like to live on campus in a more independent apartment where you can do...

Student from abroad interested in UNSW

Here are campus photos - http://www.flickr.com/photos/unsw/ Chicks on campus suck unless you're in the arts faculty, maths chicks are 99% asian unfortunately, like you said with the high international reputation we attract a lot of people from Asia who move to study here. You'll need to meet...

Advice about changing degree / dropping course?

Changing your whole sci degree just because of one subject? Lolno, don't do it. What sci major were you looking at doing anyway?

    summer school fees

It depends on what you're looking at - we really need more info, i.e are you international or domestic, and what courses are you looking at over summer? A general rule is that most courses are the same price over summer for domestic students (possibly for intl. students too), except for ASB...

wtf is the name of UNSW sport clubs?

Are you joking, there are clubs for pretty much every sport you can think of all on the gym website

MATH1231 or MATH1241 for 2nd Semester first year?

Definitely agreed with the above, I found the 1B course to be much easier than the 1A course. I can't really advise on 1231 vs 1241 though, got no idea what path you should take. If in doubt start in 1241, then if you find it too hard, drop down.

    Help with Academic Transcript unsw

I suppose this is a fair point, and I did seem like a bit of a fuckwit in my previous post, but you have to admit that the majority of companies won't look too favourably on with a fail wam when there are people with really a high wam. Of course wam isn't that important, interview skills + work...
