    Killed by multiple choice?

I've been told before that it is flocculation->sedimentation->pH adjustment by reliable sources.

Changes were: temperature, concentration and pressure/volume.

    Killed by multiple choice?

HSC Online, Chemistry Contexts 2 agrees with this also.

    Killed by multiple choice?

Yeah, pH adjustment is almost the last step. In relation to the topic; 13-15/15 depending on the answers to the last 2 MC.

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Ext 1

You might lose marks. It depends on whether their marking criteria accounts for that mistake.

Overall, i didn't really like the paper. It seemed too long. But the positive side is that the aligning of marks will be shifted downwards and it'd be easier to get a 98 or 99 aligned.

I think i did okay and the paper seemed a bit tedious. Nothing was difficult till the last part of Q8. Just the time limit seemed a big factor in the test especially with the last mechanics question.

    Unsw co-op 2009

Yeah we are. I'd be lying if i said I wasn't nervous, hopefully we'll all get interviews but i'm doubting my chances. I think they'll send them at around 10:30pm or 11pm because they'll have to send it by today before 12am.

That's alrite. 110 is very good. I'm hoping for the same but i might get about 105 opposed to 110 but that would have an almost 0 effect on my aggregate. What do you think 105-110 will get? 99 or so?

Would you reccomend doing maths extension 2?

lol. I took MX2 up so i didn't have to do much work for the subject that would have counted ie. SOR 1. And, MX2's not that bad if your okay at maths. I was getting 50% in Prelims and i'll probably get an E4 for MX2.

Band E4 cut off for 2009 exam?

Is there any data on the ~98 for 4unit? Could someone make an educated guess for 98 Scaled?
  16. shaon0

    So i stuffed up

lol. That usually happens to me. Luckily it didn't happen in the test.

    Terry Lee Solutions 3U

    lol haha. So true.
  18. shaon0

    Your maths 2U mark?

What happened? I thought you got 120?

Thoughts on raw mark needed for an E4

Yeah, it kind of helped the people who didn't really do most of the past papers for HSC as it might have set a trend in the student's mind as to the format and question types in 3u. But as a whole, the test wasn't very difficult except for 6 and 7 which were quite challenging plus, the test was...

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Ext 1

Yeah that's stupid. It says in the marking notes "thus, by mathemtical induction, the statement is true for..." instead of a pargraph conclusion but you have to define the statement.
