    South-west Sydney tutoring | 97.8 ATAR

ABOUT ME: I’m an individual who knows what it takes to achieve the marks you need to gain entry into your desired university course. As I’ve come to realise through experience, the HSC is all about preparation - the more prepared you are, the higher your ATAR will be in December. I am a...

    Final ATAR Estimate

Would 97 be out of the question? I had like 3-4 calculators give me that figure ...

    General Thoughts: SOR II

I didn't like my extended responses ... but I think I improved in short answers, so hopefully the loss-gain in those respective areas evens out.

    General Thoughts: SOR II

I'd be happy with a high B5, low B6 to be honest. I'm tied first with someone else, so my internal mark is also dependent on their performance, and vice versa

    General Thoughts: SOR II

CSSA Trial and this were very, very, very similar. In-fact, I think there were more similarities than differences ... Will be happy maintain the same performance... an 87 raw would become an 88, aligned?

    Studies of Religion Progress

Pax Christi = a Christian EG of world peace ... we do Judaism as our other tradition, so unless someone here also studies that, can be much more help
  9. B

    Studies of Religion Progress

Islam done (will need to read over again) ... Doing Christianity now ... then finish off Judaism ... Religion and Peace ... and then quickly go over, again, the two minor topics. STRESSED OUT. I think I'm more prepared for the CSSA Trial and I scored 87 for that, so if I can repeat that ....

Food Technology Exam thoughts? post exam please?

You're on the right track .. my teacher is (or was, I think she's taking a break this year) a HSC marker, and she said I was definitely on the right track when I told her what I wrote

Food Technology Exam thoughts? post exam please?

I liked the extended response ... I think it'll be a discriminator. I linked in pasteurisation techniques such as pasteurisation, canning, dehydration etc. ... and how they benefit the health of Australians. For example, pasteurisation ensures milk is safe for human consumption, thus enabling...

    How are we all going?

Which part was the hardest? The preservation question? You just had to link the preservation processes (and the aims of preservation) to Australian health. I linked in my nutrition group (and other nutrition groups - elderly, infants etc.) throughout my response :)

    How are we all going?

Decent exam ... I think the questions were tough, but when you considered them within the syllabus dot points they weren't so bad

    How are we all going?

For AFI, there aren't too any sections where stats would work ... possibly for gender issues. I've got one I know quite well ... 59% of retail sector = female .... possibly for economic contribution of AFI. Apart from that, not really ...

    How are we all going?

No ... you don't need stats. Stats are advise for the section re: a strategy for group ... EG: for ATSI's (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders), it would be advisable to mention the 17 year age gap in life expectancy between ATSI and non-ATSI female/males ... I'm going to do pregnant &...

    How are we all going?

Who's ready...? Still have things to go over ... just consolidating knowledge. Doing Food Product Development at the moment ...

    Multiple Choice Problem

Yes, now that it has been explained .... I understand where they're coming form. It does make sense

    Multiple Choice Problem

Hmmm ... fair enough! Thanks mate ... I extrapolated the role of AQIS to apply to the situation, obviously that was wrong. Need to brush up on these organisations anyway, so it's no wonder I got it wrong.

    Multiple Choice Problem

It was question 20 from last year's HSC paper. I chose (A), can someone tell me why I'm wrong? The answer was (B) - which confuses me? Why would CSIRO advise on an issue like this? Are they not a government research body? 20 Which organisation would advise Australian oyster producers...

    What has everyone done?

They can Maddie - it's in the 'Students learn to' part of the syllabus (I think?)
