I've met ONE teacher that has used a smartboard effectively. The others all either hate them or just end up wasting time with them. They're not that great, IMO.

Alkanes, I've been wondering, are you a beast at science? For calculations, just practice a range of questions and make sure you actually understand them and you're not just blindly applying a formula. Don't neglect content either - that was my main mistake which made me do shit in physics this...

^Same here. My school doesn't tell us our overall ranks - only the rank for each individual assessment and even then they only do that in year 12. :\ I think mine will be a motivator. I was way too slack this year, but I actually feel confident about year 12.

I much prefer hand. I personally find I take things in more and it's easier to draw diagrams, write wherever you want easily etc.

I wouldn't set a specific number, just do what you need to do to understand the course and learn what you need to. Also this is assuming homework is included in study. I never did any actual revision/note-making study except before tests and things went okay. Practice questions > making notes
