Most ppl on BoS would do English Advanced, which requires related text(s) for AOS and Module C. Does anyone know if marks are deducted if you have both your prescribed and related text the same text type? I've been told no.

We use that book as a course book. It's great on course work but not on skills, which is what this thread is about.

Just on the question of Excel Fast Track Step-By-Step for 2U, where can I get it/can i get it? I've tried my local bookstore and they told me it's not printed anymore.

Its annoying that the only main modern hsc geography books are Macquarie and Excel - only 2. -_- Thanks for your reply - the point i was making was that these books integrate the skills through the topics. A book just devoted to skills, or one that segregates skills, would be nice.

Yeah, i noes. My teacher has tried contacting them, and they tell him to keep checking the website (no such luck). I've heard from sources that it was actually done and ready to go last year - which is frustrating. But yes BOS will be BOS.......

The NSWBOS promised to release the specimen paper at the beginning of this year. Where is it? Anybody got some inside information on this? Because the teachers will just be playing guessing games with the mid-course exam if this is delayed further. GRRRR! Any comments appreciated.
