I really think that was one of the easiest Ancient exams I've done - maybe around a 90 raw? I'm hoping so anyway

Rank 1 only lost something like 5 marks all year including the trial haha. Also, our trials were marked by HSC markers, who made sure it was to that standard of marking. Would it still be different?

I did it, it's fine so far. No issues really, just balance your time and you'll be fine. It's nice to have that backup unit, just in case you don't do so well in something else *cough* maths *cough*

A 90% in standard doesn't necessarily mean b6 though does it? I read somewhere that they only gave .68% or something like that of the state a b6 last year, so is that just people not getting 90+% or is the threshold generally higher?

Try talking about that for a 15 mark question though, like it was in the Catholic trial. I also reckon they'll throw in some government stuff for P&H, there's enough there for a longer response question or a few multiple choices. I also don't think many people pay much attention to it.

So, I'm trying to figure out whereabouts I stand in terms of bands. Trial Mark: 95/105 Paper One: Maybe ~40/45? Paper Two: 57-60/60 So all up hopefully something around 95+/105. Do you guys think that's a band 5 or a band 6?

Are you sure about the b6 one? I got 95/105 in the trial and I'm super confident with how the HSC exam went, could I be expecting a b6? Or would I likely be falling into a b5?

I doubt there'll be two Pol Pot/Cambodia questions, that'd be ridiculous. But there's probably a high likelihood of them asking one, they quite often do.

It would be unbelievably cruel to make a food question the longer question for Sparta. Hopefully they don't do it. For the JCs, I'm thinking maybe a Year of the 4 Emperors or Praetorian Guard question - they haven't asked those in a long time. I know one of last year's ones was an army...

Haven't seen the exam yet, so obviously we don't know yet. BUT, judging from the raw mark database, maybe around an 85 (raw) will get you a band 6? It all depends on the actual paper and the performance of the cohort. We could all bomb it and a raw mark of 80 might correlate to a band 6, who knows?

German continuers is next wednesday, I'm hoping it's not too bad. I'll be looking at a band 6 if all goes well, my assessment mark was pretty good
