    Requirements for UNSW law

No, just straight atar/lat I didn’t apply for EAS and pretty sure UNSW law doesn’t give extra selection points for band 6’s in particular subjects like for some other degrees. Didn’t get in on a scholarship either

    Requirements for UNSW law

I ended up with a b6/e4 in ext 1 english, business, pe, and adv math and b5’s in adv english and chem. I’d say the marks I got for chem, maths and ext 1 were pretty hard but the rest weren’t too bad

    Requirements for UNSW law

I got in last year with an atar of 96.35 and a LAT score in the 80th percentile (I think my mark was around 82). Pretty sure the median lat mark for entry is 74 and the median atar is around 97.3 or so, you can check the UNSW website for the numbers.

How can I get into UNSW compsci?

don't worry the same has been happening to all of us, I think we have to wait until 7:30 when UNSW messages us and we are able to accept the offer on the uac website since it's down at the moment

    Gattaca and 1984

Whilst I didn't use it as a related text, I studied Gattaca as a text in Yr 11 for X1, and I agree that it is similar to 1984 in terms of the control of the populace and manipulation/loss of humanity being key themes in both texts (from memory). There is definitely enough substance and different...

    PDHPE Prediction/Thoughts

I think it was d cause that one was more consistent then b, which was the only other answer that could've been associative. But b was extremely low in consistency as it had shots all over the dartboard (even though one was in the middle), which means more errors were made which indicates that...

    2023 HSC chat

You just get your moderated assessment mark as your exam mark (assuming you mean for an illness/misadventure). So it kinda depends on how everyone in your cohort does in the hsc, but it is basically dependent on your internal rank

    PDHPE Prediction/Thoughts

Yeah multiple choice was fucked, rest was easy though

    Chemistry Predictions/Thoughts

Last year I think it was 85, will probably be similar to that

    Chemistry Predictions/Thoughts

Something to the power of -10 or -11 that one I'm also pretty unsure of
  12. H

    Chemistry Predictions/Thoughts

yeah same I got 81.7 but was very skeptical because it seemed way too high
  13. H

    Chemistry Predictions/Thoughts

I got butanal and butanone for the functional group isomers and butanal and 2-methylpropanal for the chain isomers

    Chemistry Predictions/Thoughts

    was it hexan-2-one or hexan-3-one?

    Chemistry Predictions/Thoughts

since [OH-] is already 3x the conc of Na+/Ba2+, if you add the concentration of Na+ and 2x the concentration of Ba2+, it's essentially 1+2=3. Since [OH-] is equal to 3, the answer is Na+ + 2(Ba2+) = [OH-] (D)

    Chemistry Predictions/Thoughts

How much/what do we need to know about complex ions/complexation reactions?
  17. H

    PDHPE Prediction/Thoughts

I usually aim for around 4 pages, depending on the dotpoint/question
  18. H

    Chemistry Predictions/Thoughts

it was in last years' paper pretty sure, the 6 mark question about calculating the concentration of triprotic acid in the soft drink
  19. H

    BUSINESS STUDIES

only if the business specifies "use examples in your response" or "using a relevant case study" or something like that. Even then you can use hypotheticals, but otherwise just link to the stimulus

    Chemistry Predictions/Thoughts

they can ask about how the actual process works, seen a few 4-5 markers on it in trials but also some multiple choice asking about specific aspects (e.g. what does the lamp in AAS do)
