Well, getting $1500 is a bit of an overstatement. I tutor like 25 hours a week and I'm nearly really occupied (that's saying something, i'm not even going to uni this year since I graduated). It's easy to do the multiplication, but you haven't taken into the fact that are there really that much...

Hi, so for q1: \frac{1}{z_{2}}=\frac{1}{1+4i} First you should think of to get the real part and the imaginary part out, you need to cancel the i in the denominator somehow, which is done similar to the method in 2U in rationalising the denominator: =\frac{1}{1+4i}\times \frac{1-4i}{1-4i}...

yep, that's right, in 4U you need really strong algebra skills, and you need to learn how to go to where the questions wants. So when you got stuck there, you should realise it's a difference of squares at the top, so I manipulated the bottom to get there :). Good luck in your practice.

I remember when I first tutored I only wanted $15..... Although my marks were great and my student think I was very good already and everything, I don't know if I could tutor people...... In the end the student paid me more and more without me asking for a pay rise....... I got paid 30 dollars...
