HSC Engineering Studies Thoughts / Predictions

I have no idea how to work those questions out. I left it to the end, said to myself fuck it, got out my ruler and measured it based off the scale. Got 7.3 (A) which is probably wrong but oh well

HSC Engineering Studies Thoughts / Predictions

Hmm, it probably does. It’s just an innovation isn’t the same as an invention, which is why for me using a new material is always the safe thing to do. But it should still count because it’s like a new engine. Like for example creating a wing is an invention but using a different shape is an...

HSC Engineering Studies Thoughts / Predictions

That rider question, I also got around 90. I was kind of confused cuz I thought I'd have to divide by 10 to get the mass, but a 9kg rider doesn't make that much sense lmao. Same here with the logic gate, no combination could give an input of 1. The drawings were pretty easy and the truss was...

HSC Software Design & Development Predictions/Thoughts

Oh yeah that question, there was like one that was reusing modules and another similar to it, and one that said it accelerates compiling or something. For the OOP one I just basically copied the methods for the operation class and with the (str1, n) I wasn't sure how to do it either. I mean you...

HSC Software Design & Development Predictions/Thoughts

Yeah I’d say it was a pretty normal exam. Some MC questions were a little tough but I usually get a few wrong. Option 1 personally I thought was easier than previously, and the algorithm question was similar to that past HSC one where you have to arrange seats on a ship. The railroad diagram at...

HSC Engineering Studies Thoughts / Predictions

Im kind of in the same boat as you with historical developments and telecommunications. For me I'm just looking at the materials and stuff, so for civil i look at the developments in bridges like arch, suspension, girder, and the type of materials - started with wood, then stone, wrought iron...

HSC Engineering Studies Thoughts / Predictions

A bunch of ferrous stuff like drawing microstructures and why steel is used (properties) Definitely a 6+ mark truss analysis and a drawing with cross-sectioning mc logic gate question ma vr and efficiency heat treatment testing of materials for like cracks and strength more properties of...

HSC Engineering Studies Thoughts / Predictions

Ohh looks really good! So much stuff we can be asked about in the exam I've been trying to make sure I can get most of the mechanics and drawings questions, they seem to add up quite a bit.

    Strain energy

Do we need to know strain energy for the exam? It's not listed in the syllabus but it is in copeland's engineering studies book: ^^ nesa's syllabus document

IT IS OFFICIAL. EASIEST ADVANCED ENGLISH EXAM IN 23 YEARS

I mean but it’s a medieval morality play, makes more sense to ask a question related to that

IT IS OFFICIAL. EASIEST ADVANCED ENGLISH EXAM IN 23 YEARS

In that case yeah it is probably one of the easiest exams, the 2019 one that comedy question for mod B was terrible, like for us doing henry iv there really isn’t a whole lot to talk about

IT IS OFFICIAL. EASIEST ADVANCED ENGLISH EXAM IN 23 YEARS

IT IS OFFICIAL. EASIEST ADVANCED ENGLISH EXAM IN 23 YEARS

Wait we didn’t have to write a reflection for the module C imaginative writing???

    HSC English Standard/Advanced Paper 1 Predictions/Thoughts

Paper 1 the essay question was pretty general, just had to add story telling or whatever to my paragraphs a bit. The short response was not too bad though I didn’t get to finish my final 6 marker, so I probably only got 2-3 marks. Paper 2 I’m so happy that mod C was imaginative I would’ve been...

How much time should I allocate to each section?

Im sitting at like a 65 which i think scales down so hopefully i can get at least a 70 but anyways its just one exam. good luck to you too!

How much time should I allocate to each section?

Same here lmao. If english wasn't mandatory I wouldn't be here, why I chose advanced I'll never understand. I definitely think though that reading the essay question first and then reading the texts is the best idea since the essay question is in your mind and you can get a decent idea of what...

How much time should I allocate to each section?

Yeah 2 minutes a mark should be fine for the short answers unless they give a 3 page text or a poem that is undecipherable lol
