    Math Ext 1 Predictions/Thoughts

I believe simple harmonic motion has been moved from Extension 1 to Extension 2.

    Math Ext 1 Predictions/Thoughts

If like last year (although that isn't the best way to look at it), there were only 3 marks of advanced stats questions, although quite simple questions (like finding the expected value, standard deviation and probability between 2 values).

How'd you go in the 2020 HSC x1 paper?

Yh, pretty much the same thing. If I were to use an analogy, it's kinda like the 1st sibling always bossing around the middle sibling, then when the parents have another child, the middle sibling gets to boss around the youngest child.

How'd you go in the 2020 HSC x1 paper?

Haha, it's all about doing it in a subtle way. But in all honesty, it really depends on the person; some people will say that they found it a breeze and will be confident getting a raw mark of 68+, whereas others will genuinely struggle with it a lot more (mostly 3U students who also do 2U...

    medicine

If you want to transfer having started an undergraduate degree, it depends on how long you've completed a degree for, which will dictate what they look for. So < 0.75FTE (less than 3/4 of a semester at university, 1st year) means they will consider only your ATAR. However, anything > 0.75 will...

    medicine

UNSW has a lot of different pathways for medicine, however, I don't believe they have a post-graduate program. I would recommend reading this -->...

    Math Ext 1 Predictions/Thoughts

I think they might ask a few P&C questions, just because in last year's exam, there was 1 true P&C question (a multiple choice question), so that may benefit some students while it could also be disadvantageous for other students.

How do you find the time to do practice exams?

Honestly, I should first say that your work ethic seems to be very strong, based on the quality of your academic to-do calendar. I think it's all about prioritization; the HSC is about bringing weaker subjects up, not trying to work on already strong subjects to only raise marks by a bit. So for...

How'd you go in the 2020 HSC x1 paper?

Having done the exam last year, I recall the exam being quite easy. Saying that though, I also struggled with Q14a (parts iii and iv); part b was much more doable for me. I believe my final examination mark was 98, so that may indicate a raw mark of around 62 out of 70.

If you want specific advice, this thread on MSO --> https://medstudentsonline.com.au/forum/threads/usyd-medicine-provisional-entry-questions-and-general-discussion.35929/, should have answers to any question. I should also point out that their interview format isn't like other universities ... I...

    2021 Love thread

Haha, I left this thread open and it was on the 42nd page. A few pages later and it's all of a sudden on the 69th page, 27 pages later. That really does take some level of skill to achieve.

    My predicament.. Need Help

I think the best thing to do would be to write the exam first. If you perform strongly in it, then you may want to keep Chemistry as you say you have the determination to do well, which should be the most important thing. If you don't perform as well, you may want to CONSIDER dropping it as long...

    tips on drawing inverse functions?

The original function has to be 1-1, thus, they ask you to restrict the domain. The largest domain would be from the vertex onwards, and so when you draw the inverse function, there can only be one intersection point. It's almost a linear equation but with a curve, so it can only intersect each...

    Reading Comprehension HSC

It's just a rough guide you can use ... obviously, you may find you need to spend more or less than 45 minutes on the comprehension (speaking about the HSC Paper 1 comprehension section) and spend more or less time on the individual questions.

    Maths Ext 2 Predictions/Thoughts

Yh, I meant to space it out, so like 99s and state rankers.

    Maths Ext 2 Predictions/Thoughts

I would say a lot of students in the top selective schools would get raw marks in the high 80s, even low 90s. Hence, why you see the 99s and 100s which make up most of the state ranks. It definitely is possible for students who may not go to the top schools to get these high raw marks, but not...

    short answers tips

I didn't do CAFS, but I've had a look at some past papers and solutions, and picked up on a few things. To be honest, I don't really like the NESA sample answers, as in my opinion, they aren't strong Band 6 level. The issue is that with some of the answers, there isn't enough detail. I think...
