How do I succeed in these subjects?

I'm just back from studying this subject, and wondering if the information in the textbook isn't in the exam, then what is? It can't all be extended responses; I'm guessing there's a multiple choice/short answer section, too.

How do you write a media file report?

The word limits are rather short (300-600 words), so I'm guessing it's just a summary of an article?

How do you study ALL your subjects in one day?

Hey, that might work for math, but my subjects are heavily humanities-based. Nice job on your ATAR by the way, it's phenomenal. :D

How do you study ALL your subjects in one day?

I come home from school at 3pm, and find there's not nearly enough time to study every subject. I do 6 subjects and like to study all of them equally, but the problem is time. Would not studying every subject, every day have a massive impact on how well you do in assignments/exams?

Help on answering short response questions

Also not sure how well I answered this "assess" question: Assess - to make a judgment on quality, size and value. Assess the importance of the rule of law in the effective functioning of society. The rule of law impacts society by ensuring proper balance and equality between...

Help on answering short response questions

This might sound incredibly dumb to everyone who's been there, done that, but I'm having trouble phrasing the "EXPLAIN" and "ANALYSE" questions. Teachers at my old school never taught me the concepts listed on the BoS HSC terminology, so all I knew were to list facts lol. Now at this school...

Has anyone finished making notes for each of their subjects?

Well, what I like about taking notes is the certainty of it. Who knows what I'm doing on the past paper is even correct until I get it marked? (That said, I have been reading guides on how write essays for humanity-based subjects. v helpful)

Choosing a piece for Music 2 (Music in the last 25 years)

Awh, shucks. Composition is my weakest.

Anxiety help for the coming year

You should see a doctor. There may be a stigma around mental illness, but that doesn't mean it isn't manageable, or anything to be ashamed of. (I've researched some of this due to a slight interest in psychology) Are there any roots leading to this anxiety? Did it come from anything, a...

Has anyone finished making notes for each of their subjects?

Good luck guys, from a fellow Year 11'er. :) Making notes is my favourite part.

Choosing a piece for Music 2 (Music in the last 25 years)

Is the Year 11 format of performance the same as Year 12? (4 choices of performance, viva voce or composition) Also, who would be marking it - professional HSC music markers or our teachers?

Thoughts on continuing piano after Grade 8

Hey, I'm starting Year 11 in eleven days. I chose Music 2. I finished my AMEB exams up to Grade 8. My teacher has picked out a few pieces from the C-mus syllabus, and I think I can definitely use them for the performance part of Year 11. (Given that we're learning music from the common era)...

Do I need to record myself practising performance pieces?

I'm starting Year 11, so I'm not wholly sure, but it is recommended to record yourself practising. For the actual performance, I believe you can only pre-record your accompaniment.

Is it beneficial to study from two textbooks?

Yay! So am I. :D Well, in a couple of weeks. Thanks everyone for responses. It's very convenient too, considering my school uses two textbooks for some subjects throughout the year.

Is it beneficial to study from two textbooks?

Hey! So for example, studying with the textbook your school provides you with to complete assignments, but taking notes for midterm and yearly tests from both the school textbook and another you found at the library? Just wondering if this hinders the information you've already learnt, or...

What are the best books on law?

Oh yeah, and I've already read To Kill A Mockingbird if anyone was going to suggest that.

What are the best books on law?

Hey! :) I'm interested in pursuing law as a career. I am planning to continue Legal Studies after Prelims, but the general hearsay is that the subject has nothing to do with actual law. So what are some good books/resources to learn more about the practice?
