    Atar guesstimate

Yeah I agree. Basically, the lower ranked your school then the higher individual marks + ranks you need to get a high ATAR.

How is the Dux determined at your school?

    Purely based on a point system at our school. 1st (5), 2nd (4) and 3rd (3).

    Purpose of Rear Window???

Oh, I loathed that film. But in terms of intended purpose, it is very much a product of the realist sub-genre; a series of plot events based upon everyday life and a strong sense of plausibility. If you recall, there is a perceptive conversation in the film between LB and Stella where the...

    Does God exist?

Things that makes you feel good

    - music when you know you've finished all your work - standing in the rain - reflecting on good times/memories - believing that it'll all be fine in the end (i.e. the HSC)

    Going out by yourself

Plus there's always the risk that if you happen to choke on your popcorn, there will be no one to save you if you're alone.

what proof is there that god exists?

First off to all intents and purposes, faith is an irrational belief born from a longing for satiety and spiritual equilibrium. Hence, a belief in God is essentially irrational if one were to approach it from a purely intellectual perspective. Personally however, I reckon we must all acknowledge...

Capitalism is not compatable with real Democracy.

Then again, there is an inherent ambiguity to the term democracy; it means different things to different people because each one of us lives bound by our own interpretations of reality. Personally though, I reckon many things within society are interrelated and sustain other components. I mean...

    no longer care

Rather than no longer caring, personally I've found that becoming detached and emotionally expressionless to the whole HSC process can yield positive results. I just regard exams and such as something that needs to be done in order to get from point A to point B.

    Stressing out!!!

Embrace the fact that ignorance, in many situations, can truly become bliss.
