    Private Schools?

There is a double standard that exists in this comment, as highlighted above. I don't think this is necessarily true. These values etc, especially in catholic schools are by definition, denominational. They are "catholic" values. When you go to a public school, you would generally get the...

    Private Schools?

State selective, preferably, but state schools are fine, e.g. Strathfield Girls, Homebush Boys and Burwood Girls. Generally speaking, private schools boast great resources etc, but it's the state schools that dominate the HSC ranks, academically speaking. All state schools, regardless of...

    HSC is rigged... probably

I was told that people writing the paper cannot be teaching, at a school or at a tutoring place, in the same year by a teacher.

    Books That Make You Cry

The FIRST novel that made me cry (which I absolutely love) is Goodnight Mr. Tom. My FAVOURITE novel that made me cry was To Kill a Mockingbird. It's themes of injustice or cruelty pitched in social realism that make me cry essentially. :D

How many sugars do you put in your Tea?

Tea is tea without the milk, the sugar and any other possible additions. Best served hot! :D

I'm exactly where you are. :)

    Please explain the BCS theory.

It does not travel closely behind, as the textbooks have you believe. The 'coherence length' ranges from hundreds to thousands of ions of electron separation in a Cooper pair. The reason for this is, if the electrons were too close, their electrostatic repulsion > attractive lattice...

Life can be tough... with maths

When you say you're struggling, do you mean conceptually, or it's because you don't put enough effort in? Because you've got to practise math, there's no escaping that fact. Tutors are not mandatory, but if you find that the school does not support you enough with 2u (explanations aren't in...

What option are you doing this year?

Industrial. It is an extension of Le Chatelier, and you learn how soap is made, how NaOH is manufactured and yeah. Pretty sweet.

2 and half men is overrated

And this is why you should watch FRASIER! Niles: Ah, unfortunately, I have to see Maris tonight. Martin: Maris?! What the hell do you have to see her for? Niles: Sadly, to pay my condolences. It seems our old gardener has passed away unexpectedly. Frasier: Oh, not Yoshi. Gosh, that's...

    Romanticism creative writing

+1 I suppose to stay on the safe side, use Romantic conventions, values, mannerisms, writing style, context... pretty much everything. You can project your own un-Romantic beliefs into it, and that would be undesirable. Considering that we are in an age where there are so many readings...

    Please explain the BCS theory.

Really? Depends what you mean by getting it. I don't want generic rote learning, I want to actually understand it for what it is. The school version appears flawed, the whole slipstream thing, and diagrams showing cooper pair electrons travelling in the same direction etc. Do YOU get it? :p

    Please explain the BCS theory.

Pretty clear, but the phonons ARE the crystal lattice vibrations. So I don't think it's the "phonons that are released due to these lattice distortions". The 1st cooper e- that moves through deforms part of the lattice electrostatically (positive/negative attraction). The 2nd cooper e- is...

    English Standard or English Advanced?

Really? But yeah.. in terms of scaling, I agree with dd24. The odds are band 6 in adv > band 6 in standard .

    Please explain the BCS theory.

Yes, it was to be suspected. I am now utterly confused and equally, amused. :haha:

i have a canine tooth and it embarass me!!!

Orthodontist. Believe me, they can work ANYTHING. Worst case scenario, actual dental surgery under general, will take time but your teeth can be awesome after. :-)

    Please explain the BCS theory.

I thought the vibration was minimised, but zilch vibration occurs at absolute zero, which has yet to be achieved; that's strange. I thought the vibration was required to produce the phonons, which create that slipstream effect too? But I like this simplification. Thank you very much. :D

men think women are week wahts your view

Ironically this comes from a guy. :p Well, referring to the OP, men think women are weak? Can't answer that, I'm female but... nah, I think we're pretty equal, I'd suppose intellectually? Seeing as women didn't have opportunities back in the day.. but now that we do, we can be future...

What option are you doing this year?

    Medical physics. It's alright, I s'pose. :-)

    English Standard or English Advanced?

Standard scaling is really bad, comparatively. If you're capable (which it seems you are), definitely take advanced. Also, essays are NOT to be memorised; you're supposed to understand the text in depth and be able to form a logical, coherent response in an exam. So it shouldn't be a...
