This isn’t true - the pattern observed with standard English is not a function of “scaling the subject down” or “capping the atar” but rather because of the candidature of standard English. Typically they won’t be 99.95 students anyway.

You’d do it in your first term (MATH1011) just to get you back up to speed. You might have to put in quite a bit of effort since a lot of the concepts will be new to you, but since they’re at a fundamental level, you should be able to use resources eg Khan academy to help.

No, the UNSW bridging course is for 2 Unit students who didn’t do 3 Unit.

The biology major only requires MATH1041 (intro stats) which requires at least General maths. MATH1011 would be a good course to take in your first term to get up to speed with quantitative stuff. Since you haven’t done maths since year 10, it won’t be easy since you’re covering brand new...
