    2014 ATAR estimate

Would greatly appreciate an atar estimate because calculators just don't trust them personally: Advanced English 85% (10/120) Mathematics Ext 1 95% (2/18) Mathematics Ext 2 85% (2/13) Physics 85% (5/28) SOR II 95% (3/55) And of course provisional band 6 mathematics advanced Thanks...

    Express as partial fraction

That would be wherein the problem lies... I dont quite understand why though?

    Express as partial fraction

I don't have an issue with any of it, but this one question is totally messing with my head, i get different answers by equating coefficients and by letting x=-1. Just totally messing with me :( (4x2-2x)/(x+1)(x2+1)

    Revisiting COmplex Numbers

Yeah i did about 10 hours today, reading over notes, selection of questions from Terry Lee, and 2 topic tests (not overly difficult albeit) but i feel much better about it all now, back in the zone haha

    Revisiting COmplex Numbers

I have been redoing my work for complex numbers from last term to consolidate the information, and i am finding that my understanding is not as good as i thought, i did pretty well in the test we had (85%) and was second in my class, and im just wondering if anyone else is having these...

Past papers for term 1 (Complex numbers)?

Yeah we did :) Not too bad tbh, need 85% plus to drop my 11th unit so quite nervous haha

    Geometric Representation Question

I thought so, thanks guys :) As a side note, the locus arg((z-i)/(z+1))=pi/2 Will be a semicirle between i and -1, where a line between the two is the diameter of the locus, which is a circle?

    Geometric Representation Question

Having a bit of difficulty with a question and unsure whether my approach is correct? "z1=4-i, z2=2i and z3 form vertices of an isosceles right angled triangle, with z3 the right angle, Find z3." Is the question, my working went along the lines of: Vector z3,z1 = (i) x vector z3,z2...

Hardest things they can test in complex numbers?

Doing ext 2 myself at the moment and studying complex i personally think the harder stuff is the trigonometric applications as well as some of the geometrical representation questions which are really abstract

    Forthcoming assesment task

Hey guys, my class has our first official Ext 2 task coming up next week, on COmplex Numbers and Polynomials, i dont have too much difiicltuy with past HSC papers, so is it safe to assume the task will be of that level or easier? Or as it is focused on two areas can they make it more difficult...
