Hey guys, I am new to Macquarie and I am looking for some academically strong fellows to form a junior mooting/interview team for the MULS competition. I want to form a team of two, but if I get a lot of enthusiastic replies for mooting, I would be happy to form a mooting team of four instead...
Hey guys! I am facing a dilemma and I would like to hear your opinions!
I am currently doing commerce/law at UWS Parramatta and I just received an offer from MQ to do Art/Laws over there. But I am not so sure whether I should accept the offer or not.
The main reason that is holding me back...
Ten reasons why this unit is load of shit:
1. you are asked to buy a textbook which is made by the same people who you paid to teach you.
2. the textbook is almost completely useless, given that all you need to pass the exam is take notes in lectures.
3. if you miss out something from lecture...
Hey guys, I'm doing my first year law with commerce as the combo. Honestly, I never really like commerce, so I want to drop it and pick up an Art degree. What do you guys think? Is it really sensible to do so? It appears to me that large proportion of famous legal academics and senior judges...
I've only got buy 4 (compulsory) textbooks for this semester, which will cost me nearly $400 if I buy all of them brand new from the uni bookshop (after 10% discount).
I think textbooks are ridiculously expensive, some of which have absolutely no use at all throughout the semester and cost...

I have just come to the sad realisation that UWS is a shit hole and I'll probably get stuck in this hole for 5 years.
So i decided I have to do something to make this hole a little bit more comfortable for myself by organising a debating society. Anyone interested? Please pm me if you are...

How competetive are places for law in unis like ANU/MacqU? I mean, I have read articles saying universities deliberately publish a higher UAI cut-off just to make their course look prestigeous and then accept people more than 5 points below than the standard cut-off.
So if you just happen to...
