What level of high school maths is needed to do well in the first year of applied finance & prof accounting?

when internally transferring to a different degree in another faculty you have to get a good wam but do we also need to have completed the subjects in that new degree already or do we start afresh like first year.. cuz i might want a drastic career change..

say your doing a degree this year and want to internally transfer to another degree next year, can you apply thru uac with your student number. will they consider ur atar only this way...
